A Legacy of Strength and Compassion

Founded by Megha Patil, ANUSAYA Global Foundation is inspired by her deep connection to Maharashtra’s farming communities and the resilience of the women she grew up around. Witnessing the challenges faced by farmers and their families shaped her commitment to creating meaningful change.

Named in honor of her grandmother, Anusaya, and dedicated to the memory of her father, Suresh Patil, and her family members who devoted their lives to agriculture, the foundation carries forward a legacy of strength, compassion, and service. Through ANUSAYA, Megha is committed to empowering women and girls with opportunities for dignity, independence, and a brighter future.

At ANUSAYA Global Foundation, we are transforming lives by empowering women and girls with the tools, opportunities, and support they need to build a future filled with dignity, independence, and hope.

ANUSAYA Global Foundation is a purpose-driven,international nonprofit dedicated to empowering marginalized women and girls in India—particularly widows and daughters of farmers who have lost their lives to agrarian distress, as well as women from underserved communities across Maharashtra.

Rooted in compassion, dignity, and long-term impact, ANUSAYA Global Foundation focuses on education, skill development, economic independence, and emotional resilience—ensuring women are not only supported, but truly empowered to rebuild their lives with confidence and self-worth. The foundation is supported by Atelier M Global, reinforcing a shared commitment to ethical growth, sustainability, and social responsibility on a global scale.

A Legacy of Strength and Compassion

Megha Patil was born into a family deeply rooted in agriculture. Her ancestors were farmers, and her father—alongside his mother and family—expanded a small piece of land into acres of farmland across Maharashtra. Her childhood was shaped by life in the fields, riding bullock carts, playing on farms, and staying closely connected to the soil. From a young age, Megha observed the realities of farmers’ lives, quietly absorbing their struggles, resilience, and strength.

She also shared a special bond with the women working in her home, listening to their stories of hardship, sacrifice, and survival. A simple lesson from childhood stayed with her: “If you refuse food, remember—there is someone out there who does not have what you do. Be grateful.” Though she could not change circumstances then, empathy became her greatest strength. Years later, while building her businesses in the United States, her desire to give back grew stronger. Conversations with her uncle and brother, rooted in real experiences from their farms in India, gave her the clarity and conviction to create something meaningful—this vision became ANUSAYA Global Foundation.
